SCREENINGROOM is built to be fast and private. Here's everything you need to know to get your film in front of the right people.
From the homepage, click Request Access and submit your email and filmmaker type. You'll receive a confirmation that you're on the list.
We onboard filmmakers in small batches during the beta. Once approved, you'll receive an email with a sign-in link.
Click your sign-in link and you'll land on the onboarding screen. Choose your display name — this becomes your public URL (e.g. /p/maya-chen).
You can update your bio, portrait, website, IMDb, Instagram, and Letterboxd at any time from your profile settings.
From your dashboard, click New Film and give it a title. This creates a draft. You can then upload your file, add metadata, and set it up for screeners.
Films start as drafts and are completely private until you actively share a link or enable distribution.
Open your film, click Upload Video, and drag in your file (MP4, MOV, or MKV, up to 20GB). Processing takes 2–20 minutes depending on length.
We use Mux for video hosting and delivery — the same infrastructure used by major streaming platforms. Your file is transcoded into multiple quality levels automatically.
Go to Edit Film to add your logline, synopsis, year, runtime, festival credits, and poster image. This is what appears on your public profile page.
Festival credits accept free-form text so you can list selections, awards, and special mentions exactly as you want them to appear.
Go to your film → Screener tab → New Link. Give it a label (e.g. 'Sundance programmer'), optionally set a password, view limit, or expiry date.
Each link is tracked independently. You'll see when it was viewed, from where, and how much of the film was watched. Notifications send to your email on first view.
Copy the screener link and send it directly — no login required for the recipient. They enter a password if you set one, then the film plays immediately.
Your screener page shows your film's title, filmmaker, logline, festival credits, and the player. It's designed to present your work professionally to industry contacts.
